About the Role: 
Join our dynamic team at Sycamore Family Dentistry as a Registered Dental Hygienist! In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care while promoting oral health in a welcoming environment. Responsibilities:  
  • Prepare treatment room and execute proper tray setup by following prescribed procedures and protocols 
  • Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and periodontal assessments.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
  • Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Assist in the identification of oral diseases and conditions.
  • Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the system and providing intra-oral photos prior to dentist exam.
  • Record patient medical and dental histories, vital signs and treatment information.
  • Support the patient by providing exceptional interpersonal and technical skills in the delivery of information and care as it relates to receiving treatment.
  • Maintain sterilization and infection control protocols in the clinic.
  • Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Stay current with continuing education and advancements in dental hygiene.
  • Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential in accordance with HIPAA.
  • Participate in the achievement of patient satisfaction and office production goals by working efficiently and providing a high level of patient service.
  • Follow infection control protocol and prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with office policies and procedures, safety and OSHA guidelines.
  • Conserve dental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
 
  • Valid California Registered Dental Hygienist license.
  • Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene or equivalent education.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a dental office setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with patients.
  • Proficient in dental software and electronic health records.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of dental professionals.
  • Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
  • Compassionate demeanor with a patient-centered approach to care.
