    Dental Hygienist (Part-Time)

    Location: Mt. Sinai, NY 11766

    Pay Range: $55–$60/hour

    Annualized Range: Approximately $57,200–$62,400 per year based on a 20-hour work week

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a part-time Dental Hygienist to join a modern dental practice that prioritizes quality care, strong patient relationships, and a concierge-level clinical experience. This opportunity offers a flexible schedule and is ideal for a hygienist looking for a high-quality clinical environment with competitive compensation and opportunities to add additional days.

    Our hygienists are provided one-hour recall appointments, allowing dedicated time to deliver thorough preventive care, educate patients, and build lasting relationships. You'll work in a modern, safety-focused practice environment alongside a collaborative clinical team that values quality care and professional growth.

    Schedule

    • Monday: 12:00pm – 6:00pm
    • Wednesday: 9:00am – 6:00pm
    • Saturday: 8:00am – 1:00pm

    • Flexible for candidates seeking either part-time or full-time hours

    Responsibilities

    • Provide concierge-level care with exceptional chairside manner while building trust and rapport with patients
    • Enhance overall oral health by identifying signs of periodontal disease and potential oral cancers
    • Thoroughly review and document patient medical histories and chief complaints
    • Take diagnostic x-rays and intraoral images to assist with treatment planning and monitor patient progress
    • Perform precise oral hygiene procedures aligned with treatment plans prescribed by the attending Dentist
    • Conduct periodontal assessments and provide appropriate preventive and periodontal care
    • Respond appropriately to sudden adverse developments during patient treatment and implement emergency measures when necessary
    • Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, at-home care, and long-term oral health maintenance
    • Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation
    • Collaborate with dentists and other team members to provide an exceptional patient experience

    Qualifications

    • Active Registered Dental Hygienist license in New York
    • Current CPR/BLS certification
    • Strong working knowledge of comprehensive dentistry, including dental hygiene procedures, patient screening, and clinical documentation
    • Excellent communication and patient education skills
    • Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
    • Any additional certification or licensure required by the State of New York to perform assigned duties
