Job Summary

The Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer II (RDCS-II) is part of the patient care team and is entrusted with the care of patients undergoing cardiac sonographer studies on an inpatient and/or outpatient basis.

Pay Range

Minimum $45.72 Midpoint $60.58 Maximum $75.43

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience

• Required: Minimum one year of pediatric cardiac sonography experience. • Preferred: Three years of pediatric cardiac sonography experience.

Education

• Required: Graduate recognized program for echocardiography required

Specialized Skills

• Required: Ability to set goals and judge results in accordance with the highest standards and respect; advance care through development of new ideas and technology; promote teamwork to achieve CHOCs mission; and understand and exceed customer expectations, effectively solve complex patient care and organizational problems, role model positive and professional behavior. • Preferred: Bilingual.

Licensure

• Required: Basic Life Support Certification (BLS); Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography (RDCS-PE) credentialing in Pediatric Echocardiography by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonography (RCCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
