Compensation:
- Pay Rate: $48–$53/hour (Based on experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian with a strong background in outpatient clinical nutrition and dialysis patient care. The ideal candidate will provide nutritional assessments, patient education, and individualized dietary management while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct timely and accurate nutritional screenings and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans
- Educate patients regarding prescribed diets, food/drug interactions, and nutrition management
- Monitor patient progress and dietary compliance
- Interpret laboratory values, physical assessments, and social factors impacting nutrition care
- Modify meal plans and dietary recommendations as needed
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff regarding diet modifications and patient care planning
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient education and nutrition documentation
- Promote patient wellness and support positive clinical outcomes through evidence-based nutrition care
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of Registered Dietitian experience required
- Outpatient clinical experience required
- Dialysis patient care experience required
- Degree in Dietetics, Foods, and Nutrition, or related field from an accredited institution required
- Master’s Degree preferred
- Strong communication, counseling, and patient education skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Certifications & Licensure:
- Registered Dietitian (RD/CDR) certification required
- NYSED Dietitian-Nutritionist Certification required where applicable
- AHA BLS Certification preferred
