Description:
Position Summary
The Registered Dietitian serves as a key member of the Trinity Health HEART Center team, directing the nutritional components of the HEART Center, Medical Weight Management Program, and Diabetes Education Program. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, evaluating, and coordinating nutrition-focused programs that promote healthy lifestyle behaviors, weight management, cardiovascular health, and diabetes self-management.
The ideal candidate is a passionate nutrition professional who combines clinical expertise with program leadership, patient education, and collaborative care to improve health outcomes across diverse patient populations.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field.
Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential.
Current membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) or Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE).
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
Knowledge of Joint Commission standards, quality assurance programs, and compliance requirements.
Experience in:
Cardiovascular disease prevention and management
Clinical nutrition therapy
Adult and adolescent weight management
Diabetes education
Health education and behavior change strategies
Coronary artery disease risk factor management
Experience leading programs, facilitating groups, and coordinating patient education initiatives.
