Registered Dietitian/Dietary Manager- Dual role

$93,600-$104,000

Cedar Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation, a GenerationsHealthcare facility, is in search of a Registered Dietitian who will have a dual role as the Dietary Supervisor to join our team.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food and Nutrition Services Manager who is a Registered Dietitian (RD) to oversee and lead our food and nutrition services in a 99-bed skilled nursing facility. This dual-role position is responsible for ensuring high-quality nutritional care for residents while managing daily kitchen operations, regulatory compliance, and team leadership.

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who is passionate about resident-centered care, clinical excellence, and building strong interdisciplinary relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Nutrition (RD Duties):

Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop individualized care plans

Provide ongoing monitoring and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards

Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members

Manage nutrition support, therapeutic diets, and specialized feeding plans

Lead and support malnutrition identification and quality improvement initiatives

An active participant in Skin and Weight IDT meetings, responsible for tracking and trending interventions and resident outcomes

Dietary Management (Food Service Duties):

Oversee daily kitchen operations, including meal service, sanitation, and food safety compliance

Ensure menu execution meets regulatory guidelines and resident preferences

Manage food ordering, inventory, and cost control

Supervise and train dietary staff, fostering a positive and accountable team culture

Maintain compliance with state, federal, and local regulations (including CDPH and CMS standards)

Qualifications

Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential required

Minimum 1-3 years of experience in long-term care or healthcare nutrition

Strong knowledge of Title 22

Proven leadership and team management skills

Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
