Registered Dietitian

JOB TITLE: REGISTERED DIETITIAN

BIENESTAR networks with other social service organizations to provide a complete package of support to clients.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the Linkage to Care Program Manager the dietitian assesses the dietary needs of individuals with HIV.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Experience of nutrition and diet planning to conduct comprehensive evaluation of individuals with HIV nutritional status and risks.
2. Performs in-depth nutritional assessments for patients who are HIV positive.
3. Knowledge of HIV prevention techniques and services.
4. Experience working with culturally and socially diverse community groups including impacted and affected HIV individuals and groups; and the underserved.
5. Schedule and provide follow up nutrition educational contacts with high-risk clients.
6. Demonstrates skills and knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to individuals with HIV including the ability to obtain and interpret information to identify patient needs, and provide the care needed.
7. Bilingual (Spanish) and/or bicultural required.
8. Ability to develop professional relationships with clients, referral sources, vendors, and company personnel.
9. Able to meet agency job work hours.
10. Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or other relevant field.
11. Registered Dietitian with current licensure.
12. Other duties as assigned.

HOURS: 5-8 hours per week. SALARY AND BENEFITS: $100 per hour - Commensurate with education and experience. This is a contract position.
