ResponsibilitiesOversees nutritional management within the department and exercises daily responsibility for allocation of resources and coordination of activities. Responsible for nutritional care and support of hospital patients, counseling and instructing patients and outpatients on modified diets. Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.Knowledge of Chemistry and BiologyKnowledge of HMOs, PPOs, Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance plans QualificationsJob RequirementsBachelors Degree in a relevant area or equivalent combination of education and experienceRegistration through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly American Dietetic Association) preferred registration eligibility requiredLicensed by the State of NMPreferred Job RequirementsMaster's Degree in relevant areaPrevious job-related experience
