Overview of the Role:We are seeking a skilled registered dietitian to join our Healthcare team in Leesport. In this role, you will assess and identify the nutritional needs of assigned patients or residents, implement interventions to maintain or improve their nutritional status, and enhance their quality of life in alignment with their personal goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Offering nutritional guidance to the healthcare team and educating patients, residents, staff, or consultants.
- Adhering to the standards of practice set by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and complying with facility regulations.
- Collaborating with other departments to establish procedures and policies, as well as addressing issues related to dining services and nutrition.
- Actively engaging in the creation, evaluation, and modification of continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications We Seek:Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or a related field (prior to 2024).
- Master’s degree in Nutrition or a related discipline.
- Successful completion of a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or fulfillment of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics eligibility criteria.
- Completion of 75 hours of continuing education every five years, in line with CDR requirements, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
- Licensure or certification as mandated by state regulations.
- Understanding of regulatory standards related to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
- Ability to educate others, particularly in the areas of nutrition and dietetics.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare or long-term care settings.
