Responsibilities and Duties:
- Train, mentor and supervise four diet techs and serve as a hands-on leader in the Food & Nutrition Department.
- Provide day-to-day management of the clinical nutrition program.
- Support ongoing Performance Improvement and Quality Management projects.
- Provide training and education to department staff and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with the food service operations team regarding meal provision and menu management; and
- Ensure DOH/State/Federal and company standards are being upheld.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills.
- A strong commitment to excellence in all aspects of patient care.
- Experienced with regulatory accreditation and establishing and maintaining standards of care; and have a strong commitment to excellence in all aspects of patient care.
Job Requirements:
- Be a Registered Dietitian (or RD eligible) with acute care experience and demonstrate a great clinical knowledge base.
- Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:
- Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
- Meet eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and become registered within 120 days of hire.
