White Sands, a HumanGood life plan community (CCRC) in beautiful La Jolla, CA, is seeking a part-time Registered Dietician (12-16 hours per week) to join our team. Part Time, 12-16 hours per week Must be available Tuesdays, and either Thursdays or Fridays
$40.00-$50.00/hr.
A day in the life may include:
- Initial and follow-up clinical assessments for Skilled Nursing residents
- Participation in initial and quarterly care plan meetings
- Attending Weekly resident weight checks and stand-up meetings
- Weekly participation in Resident Care Meetings
- Weekly meetings with Head Chef, Nutrition Care Manager, and Dining General Manager
- Supervision of Health Center Tray line & Assisted Living & main kitchen with in-services for ongoing training
- Nutrition and Dining support in Memory Care, Assisted Living, and Independent Living levels of care
- Monthly Nutrition Educations for Independent Living
- Quarterly Teaching Kitchens with Head Chef
- Participation in Clinical and Kitchen Audits and QAPI development
- Upkeep of facility's Emergency Food storage and policies
- Continual preparing, educating, and planning for Title 22 survey
To be successful in the role, you would have:
- Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD) and/or have licensure/certification
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition/Dietetics, successful completion of Dietetic Internship or equivalent. Member of the American Dietetic Association
- Must have 2 years of clinical experience in senior living skilled nursing facility, assisted living, rehabilitation, and/or acute care environment
- Minimum of one-year experience, preferably in a hospital or nursing home or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities
- ServSafe Management Certification
