  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation.
  • Coordinate care with therapists, physicians, and other providers with client authorization.
  • Recognize concerns requiring medical, behavioral health, or specialized eating-disorder referrals.
  • Follow all professional, ethical, privacy, and organizational requirements.
  • Participate in wellness groups, workshops, and community programs when appropriate.
Required Credentials and Qualifications

  • Completion of required supervised dietetic practice and professional examination requirements.
  • Current professional liability insurance or willingness to obtain coverage before starting.
  • Strong assessment, counseling, communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of professional boundaries, informed consent, confidentiality, and scope of practice.
  • Commitment to culturally responsive, inclusive, and client-centered care.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an integrated wellness team.
Ideal Candidate
  • Provides compassionate and nonjudgmental nutrition care.
  • Avoids shame-based, restrictive, or appearance-focused approaches.
  • Understands the relationship between food, culture, access, mental health, trauma, and physical wellness.
  • Respects client autonomy and individual differences.
  • Values collaboration between nutrition, behavioral health, and wellness professionals.
  • Maintains clear professional boundaries and accurate documentation.
