Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) Department of Tribal Health - Yakama IHS $39.82 per hour | Regular Full-Time Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Open Until Filled The Registered Dietitian Nutritionist provides Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT), diabetes education, and nutrition counseling services to patients served through the Yakama Indian Health Service Unit. This position plays an important role in improving community health outcomes related to diabetes, obesity, heart disease, kidney disease, gastrointestinal disorders, cancer, food allergies, and overall wellness. Duties: What You''ll Do • Provide individualized and group nutrition counseling • Deliver Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and diabetes education • Support high-risk participants in the WIC Program • Collaborate with healthcare providers and community programs • Develop and review nutrition education materials • Promote healthy lifestyle changes and wellness initiatives • Document patient care within the IHS Electronic Health Record system Qualifications: Qualifications Minimum Requirements include: • Master''s Degree in Dietetics from an accredited college or university • Current Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credentials in Washington State, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire • Ability to pass a background check and drug test Preferred • Valid Washington State Driver''s License • Experience working with Tribal or Native communities welcomed Apply Today All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.
