The Dining Services Assistant facilitates the service of meals and ensures excellent customer service to our residents.

Responsibilities:
- Performs nutrition screening through review of the medical record, diet history, meal rounds, and interview with resident/patient and family according to department policies and accepted standards of care.
- Establishes realistic, measurable nutrition goals and develops individualized care plan for the low nutrition risk resident. Evaluates progress towards goal and documents interventions in a timely manner and in compliance with departmental policies and accepted standards of care.
- Provides appropriate diet education to resident/patient and/or family as needed in both the nursing home and homecare setting.
- Assists with the development of nutrition care and dietary policies and procedures and monitors adherence to policies.
- Assists with the development of regular and modified diets and menus.
- Assists with staff education as assigned.
- Represents department at Team and Care Plan conferences, Resident Council meetings, and other committees as assigned.
- Assists with the maintenance of data base in Geri-Menu computer system.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum two (2) years experience
- Completion of an ADA approved Dietetic Technician Program
- Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
Min:
USD $36.25/Hr.
Max:
USD $55.80/Hr.
Salary Information:
Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
