The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient-centered care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients ensuring safety, accurate monitoring, and effective communication within a collaborative healthcare team. This role requires strong clinical assessment skills, proficiency with telemetry monitoring, and the ability to document thoroughly in Epic.
Full Time 3x12 hour shifts Night Shift 7p-7a Every other weekend obligation.

Job Description
Position Overview
The Medical-SurgicalTelemetry Nurse provides direct nursing care to adult patients with complex medical and surgical needs including continuous cardiac monitoring via telemetry. This role involves comprehensive patient assessments, administration of medications and treatments, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The nurse is responsible for accurate and timely documentation in Epic, participation in bedside shift reporting, and patient-family education.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor telemetry for cardiac abnormalities • Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy as prescribed • Manage patients with a range of medical-surgical diagnoses and post-operative needs • Document all nursing care, patient responses, and bedside shift reports accurately in Epic • Collaborate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families • Promote patient safety through adherence to infection control, fall prevention, and other safety protocols • Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and discharge instructions • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain professional development
Minimum Requirements
Associate degree required. Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current American Heart Association AHA Basic Life Support BLS certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
