Base Compensation: $41-$46 per hour

Available Shifts

• Evening: 3:00 PM-11:00 PM
• Night: 5:00 PM-5:00 AM
• Rotating weekends required

Additional Pay

• Evening shift differential: Additional $2.00 per hour
• Night shift differential: Additional $3.00 per hour
• Weekend coverage differential: Additional $1.00 per hour

Baldwin State Prison serves incarcerated adult men, including individuals requiring close security, and carries a Special Mission designation. According to the Georgia Department of Corrections, the facility provides:

• On-site specialty clinics that provide care as needed
• Mental health evaluations and support for six facilities

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse provides holistic, patient-centered nursing care to an incarcerated population within the RN scope of practice. Working under the direction of the Director of Nursing and/or Nursing Supervisor, the RN collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to assess, identify, and respond to patients' medical, mental health, and psychosocial needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care
• Complete nursing assessments and contribute to individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly report changes
• Collaborate with medical, mental health, and custody teams
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Follow established safety, security, and infection control procedures

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required
• Active Georgia RN license or an active multistate/compact RN license authorizing practice in Georgia
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to obtain required security clearance, including successful completion of a drug screen and background check
• Availability to work the selected evening or night shift, including rotating weekends
