Schedule: Weekend Program
Shift: Two 12-Hour Night Shifts Weekly (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Commitment: 48 Weekends Per Year
Department: Adult Acute Care (Medical Surgical III)
Location: Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center
- Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
- Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. American Heart Association BLS. Some departments have additional advanced CPR requirements as listed on staff annual education record, required. Must maintain the annual required CEU’s as defined by NCBON. Additional hours may be required by the unit /dept, required.
- Care for a diverse adult acute care patient population, including wound care, IV therapy, dialysis coordination, G-tubes, ports, and other complex medical-surgical needs.
- Provide weekend continuity of care as part of our dedicated Weekend Program, working 48 weekends per year while enjoying weekday flexibility.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, therapists, case managers, and nursing support teams to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
