REQUIREMENTS

  • RN with one year nursing experience required
  • Current RN License from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required.
  • Pre-Employment Drug Screen
  • Child Protective Services Law training certificate every two years
  • Act 33/34/73 Clearances - renewal every 5 years at employee expense

SCHEDULE: (exempt) Monday through Thursday 9am-5pm

ABOUT THE ROLE Our Behavioral Health Outpatient Nurses are members of the Adult Outpatient Ambulatory Team whose duties require advanced knowledge of mental health and its effects. Manages and provides client care activities for a group of persons served and their families through independent judgement, communication and collaboration with all team members and establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians and other Ambulatory Team health care providers, persons served and their significant others to achieve desires outcomes throughout the continuum of care. We offer comprehensive team-based care to include on site medication management, tele-psychiatry, individual and group therapy.

ABOUT YOU: Must be able to act and respond appropriately and independently, using obtained experience and education, in sometimes unpredictable situations, managing aspects of the clients medication care services and will champion their duties using Pittsburgh Mercys philosophy, policies, procedures and goals.
