Our client, a New York State Agency, is seeking dedicated and autonomous Registered Nurses (RN) and Advanced Practice Nurses to provide healthcare services within a secure state facility setting.
This role operates on a 24/7 coverage schedule based on facility needs. Candidates will perform health assessments, manage patient care, and execute medical regimens prescribed by authorized healthcare providers. Candidates must pass a comprehensive background check prior to placement. Primary Responsibilities
Health Assessments: Perform thorough clinical assessments to identify new symptoms, undiagnosed medical conditions, or potential health complications.
Medication & Care Delivery: Administer prescribed medications, manage, and deliver restorative or palliative care to ill, disabled, or end-of-life patients.
Patient Education: Teach and counsel patients regarding health maintenance, illness prevention, and managing chronic conditions.
Medical Regimen Execution: Execute medical plans and orders prescribed by NY Licensed Physicians, Dentists, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Podiatrists, and Clinical Nurse Specialists.
Autonomous Practice: Utilize specialized clinical judgment and advanced nursing practice standards to deliver high-quality patient care in a specialized facility environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Licensure: Active and unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Nurse in New York State.
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of post-licensure work experience in a clinical or facility setting.
Clearance: Successful completion of a background check required prior to starting.
Flexibility: Willingness to work variable shifts on a 24/7 coverage schedule based on operational demands.
