RN Primary to Physicians (Heart Failure / EP)
Location: Anchorage, AK 99508.
Compensation: $40 – $48 / hour (Based on experience).
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 (Requires a 2-year commitment).
Position Type: Non-exempt.
Job Summary:
Join our healthcare delivery team to provide professional nursing care for clinic patients in our Heart Failure and Electrophysiology (EP) departments. You will work closely with physicians to ensure high-quality care, patient education, and efficient clinic flow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Prepare patients for exams, take vital signs/histories, and assist with 12-lead EKGs and treadmill tests.
- Physician Support: Aid physicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Clinical Duties: Administer prescribed medications and treatments; observe and document patient reactions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate patient charts, records, test results, and telephone call logs.
- Communication: Screen clinical phone calls, route triage questions, and provide detailed patient/family education.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (RN program).
- Licensure: Current Alaska State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Certifications: Current CPR certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
- Experience: Cardiology experience is highly preferred.
Skills & Requirements:
- Knowledge of cardiac rhythm recognition and basic pharmacology.
- Skill in vital signs, EKG equipment, and sample collection.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for long periods.
- Strong multitasking, stress management, and clear communication skills.
