The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing services and patient care in variety of settings. The position follows established nursing process, including patient assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The position ensures adherence to hospital or department policies, and nursing procedures, standards, and practices. The Registered Nurse manages individualized, goal directed nursing care through the use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
What you will do
Assesses, identifies, and prioritizes patient and family needs to provide quality care to all patients. Develops, discusses, and communicates plan of care for each patient in collaboration with the care team.
Safely delivers medications and treatments. Monitors and documents patient responses and upholds all safety policies and protocols including patient identification, risk mitigation ensuring a safe individualized plan of care.
Performs continuous patient assessment, detects changes in condition, and communicates with appropriate care team members to support prompt clinical decision making.
Maintains accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a department/unit to facility meeting goals and objectives.
Maintains current documentation and required licensure, certifications, required education, and competencies in accordance with unit scope of service and professional standards. Pursues professional growth and development.
Qualifications
Minimum Education
Technical Diploma/Certificate Nursing Required or
Associates Degree Nursing Required
Bachelor's Degree Nursing Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
Registered Nurse Licensed State of Florida or eligible compact state Upon Hire Required
BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) American Heart Association Upon Hire Required
ACLS Provider (ACLS) American Heart Association Upon Hire Required
National Institutes Of Health Stroke Scale (NIH) Upon Hire Required
PALS Provider (PALS) American Heart Association within 90 Days Required
Non-violent crisis intervention (CPI) within 90 Days Required
Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) within 2 Years Required
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Demonstrated proficiency in nursing, knowledge, and skills.
Basic computer skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
