BAYLOR ROLE This unit self-schedules. (RN Baylor works 24 hours during the weekend period as defined as Friday 6:45pm to Monday 7:15am and are paid for 36 hours.)

What We're Looking For:
Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
What You'll Do:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions, including COPD, pneumonia, pulmonary embolism, influenza, and respiratory failure
Perform focused respiratory assessments and intervene early for patients with escalating oxygen and ventilatory needs
Manage specialized skills including:
Tracheostomy and ventilated patient care CPAP/BIPAP and heated high-flow oxygen therapy Chest tube management Administration of blood products and select IV drips
Advanced respiratory assessment and intervention
