Join our outpatient health clinic team and play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care while supporting healthcare providers, clinic operations, and emergency response efforts across multiple locations.

Schedule: Monday – Friday (Day shift)

$30.00/hr.

What You'll Do

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide comprehensive outpatient nursing care while working closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and administrative staff.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assess, triage, and evaluate patients during clinic visits and telephone consultations.

  • Provide nursing care for minor illnesses and injuries while exercising sound clinical judgment within established guidelines.

  • Administer medications, immunizations, injections, and treatments as ordered by providers.

  • Perform phlebotomy, laboratory specimen collection, and other nursing procedures.

  • Assist physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants with examinations and medical procedures.

  • Document patient assessments, treatments, and nursing interventions accurately in the electronic medical record.

  • Coordinate patient follow-up care, including reviewing laboratory results, communicating with laboratory vendors, and contacting patients as appropriate.

  • Respond to patient questions regarding medications, referrals, and treatment plans.

  • Participate in RN visits, including health counseling, immunizations, and lab draws.

  • Assist with emergency response efforts, including providing first aid and initial triage during campus emergencies and mass casualty incidents when needed.

  • Monitor and maintain clinic inventory, medications, medical supplies, and emergency equipment.

  • Support front desk and administrative clinic operations when assigned to partner campuses.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies.

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, university, and regulatory standards, including OSHA guidelines.

  • Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative environment for patients, students, and fellow staff members.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution required.

  • Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license, or eligibility to practice nursing in Florida.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience.

  • Strong clinical assessment, triage, and patient education skills.

  • Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational abilities.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).

  • Experience in outpatient, ambulatory care, student health, family practice, urgent care, or primary care settings.

  • Knowledge of insurance and third-party prescription claims.

  • Familiarity with prescription processing, over-the-counter medications, and medical inventory management.

 

This position is contingent on a background check and drug screen.
