Connected Health Care, a premier recruitment and staffing firm, is partnering with a highly respected healthcare organization in Palm Springs, California, to recruit a Local Travel Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Cath Lab RN seeking competitive weekly pay, a dynamic cardiovascular environment, and the chance to work with an exceptional clinical team.

Position Overview
The Cardiac Cath Lab RN provides specialized nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. Working closely with cardiologists, radiology staff, and interdisciplinary team members, the RN plays a critical role in ensuring patient safety before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures while delivering exceptional patient-centered care.
Job Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiovascular procedures
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments before, during, and after procedures
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic status, and patient responses throughout procedures
  • Administer medications and moderate sedation in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional Cath Lab procedures
  • Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and sterile fields
  • Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, medications, and discharge instructions
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations and changes in patient condition
  • Document patient care accurately within the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, quality standards, and patient safety initiatives
Required Qualifications
  • Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of one (1) year of acute care RN experience 
  • Recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and unexpected clinical situations
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities
  • Ability to operate standard office and clinical equipment, including computers, scanners, printers, and electronic medical record systems
  • Knowledge of current nursing standards, cardiovascular care practices, and evidence-based patient care
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to serve as a positive role model within the healthcare team
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required
  • Candidates enrolled in an RN-to-BSN or RN-to-MSN program within one (1) year of hire with completion within five (5) years may also be considered in accordance with employer policy
Required Certifications
  • Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
