The Cardiovascular Observation Unit (COU) at Deaconess Gateway is one of the hospitals newest specialty units, offering nurses the chance to help shape a growing department while gaining valuable experience in advanced cardiac care.

This 27-bed, cardiac-focused unit cares for patients undergoing heart catheterizations, structural heart procedures, ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator implants, CABG surgeries, and more. Nurses also provide PACU recoveries for advanced procedures such as TAVR, LAAO, and A-Fib ablations, creating a unique blend of observation, procedural, and recovery nursing.

Requirements

• Active Indiana RN license or valid compact RN license
