POSITION: Cath Lab RN

SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING

" Shift hours: Either 4x10s (7a-530p) or 5x8s (8a-430p)

" Charting: Epic required

" Weekend Requirement: See On-Call

" On Call Requirement: 10-12 days of call per month, including weekends. Clinicians must be able to return to the hospital within 30 minutes when called

" RTO, Block & Special Scheduling Requests: ALL requests must be included with the submission.

" Call off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.

" Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work/take call one holiday per 13-week contract (in rotation with staff)

" Accept First-Time Travelers: No

" Locals Accepted? No. Refer to the Submittal Instructions for radius rule criteria

REQUIRED LICENES & CERTIFICATIONS

" Pending License Accepted: Any active state license (in hand or pending) is accepted. Virginia will grant emergency authorization to travelers with a license so they can work while their permanent VA license is processing.

" ACLS / BLS

REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS
========================
" Skilled in Cardiac Cath lab procedures: Diagnostic and Intervention Catheterizations, Left and right heart catheterization,
Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, Pericardiocentesis, IABP insertion, PPM/TPM insertion, Loop recorder, PE cases

" Sterile technique, EKG lead placement, dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, and rapid response protocols

" Experienced in diagnostic/interventional Cath lab settings using fluoro

" Knowledge of isolation precautions, equipment handling, and supply management

UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING

" Serves adult patients, average of 4 cases per day

" Common diagnoses: coronary artery disease, valve disorders, heart failure
