Contract Duration: 90 Days (November 9, 2025 - March 8, 2026)
Pay Rate: $58.97 per hour
Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours total)
Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday to Friday
On-Call Requirement: STEMI team rotation - 6 to 8 shifts per month, including one full weekend (Friday 5:30 PM - Monday 7:00 AM)
We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Catheterization Lab Registered Nurse (RN Cath Lab) for a 90-day contract assignment in Albany, NY. The RN will provide care to patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional cardiovascular procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong procedural and emergency STEMI response experience, with the ability to work in both procedural and prep/recovery areas.
Assess, prepare, and position patients for cardiac catheterization and vascular procedures.
Perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary.
Prepare, implement, and document individualized plans of care for each patient.
Communicate patient status and procedural updates with the physician and healthcare team before, during, and after procedures.
Perform and assist with diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures.
Set up, maintain, and ensure availability of all necessary equipment and supplies throughout procedures.
Provide care in both procedural and prep/recovery areas, including patient work-up and post-procedure recovery.
Participate in on-call STEMI team rotations and respond promptly to emergency cases.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience.
Licensure: Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York (or compact state license).
Certifications:
BLS (Basic Life Support) - Required
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - Required
Skills & Experience:
Strong background in procedural cardiac cath and vascular studies
Experience with STEMI team on-call response
Proficiency in patient assessment, sedation, and recovery care
Excellent communication and critical-thinking skills
