Registered Nurse - CICU

Summary:

• Location: Children's Hospital Colorado @ Anschutz Medical Campus
• Duration: 13 Weeks (09/08/2026 to 12/12/2026)
• Shift: 12H Rotating Days/Nights: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with a focus on open heart cases.
• Ensure high standards of patient care in a Level Three-CICU environment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Float to other units within clinical competence as needed.

Requirements:

• BSN or ADN with a minimum of 6 years of experience.
• Colorado RN license or multi-state compact license.
• Certifications: PALS, ACLS, BLS.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of Staff RN experience in dedicated CVPICU (pediatric CICU OH).
• Previous travel experience required.
• Willingness to work up to 75% of shifts on weekends.

Preferred Skills:

• Pediatric CCRN certification.
• Experience with VAD (Ventricular Assist Device).
• Teaching hospital experience strongly preferred.
