The UF Health TraumaOne Trauma Center in Jacksonville was the first trauma program in Florida when it opened in 1983. As a testament to its continued excellence, the center has been verified by the American College of Surgeons since 2018 as an adult Level I trauma center also caring for pediatrics. Notably, after 40 years of service to the community, it remains the only Level I center in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia to care for adults and children.

UF Health is the first in Northeast Florida to open combined emergency room/urgent care centers, so patients receive immediate medical attention 24 hours a day, seven days a week, but pay only for the level of services they need.

Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Director/Manager/ Charge Nurse, the RN utilizes the nursing process, facilitates patient care making nursing assessments and diagnosis, formulates care plans based on the diagnosis and implements and evaluates the plan of care. This is a full time,  day shift position eligible for a sign-on bonus. This position requires on - call for after hour and weekend cases. On- call required

Qualifications:

Education

Diploma/Associate’s Degree

 

Licensure/Certification/Registration

Florida Registered Nurse License

 

BLS

 

ACLS

PALS

 

Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required

Med/Surg or critical care experience of 1 year preferred

Circulating and CVOR RN experience highly preferred 

Must live within on-call radius and willing to do on-call
