Beloit Health System is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our busy and patient-focused Cardiology Clinic located in Beloit, WI. In this role as Registered Nurse, you will work alongside experienced cardiologists and advanced practice providers to deliver exceptional care to patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.Shift: 1stSchedule: 8a-5pHours per week: 40 hours per weekBenefits Status: Benefits EligibleDepartment: Beloit Clinic CardiologyThis Registered Nurse Clinic in Cardiology will provide nursing care and perform procedures as necessary for patient care. If you are passionate about heart health and patient care, then this is the Registered Nurse opportunity for you.The Registered Nurse Clinic in Cardiology:Assists provider with procedures and provides necessary nursing care and procedures as necessaryDemonstrates the ability to navigate and perform functions accurately and efficiently with computer software applicationsReceives and handles telephone calls to departmentAdministers and maintains current medicationsConsistently uses good judgment and professional communication in accommodating patients' needsEnsures appropriate and adequate supplies are on handAppropriately assesses basic physical psychological and social needs of patients and their familiesProvides patient and family education appropriatelyStrictly adheres to infection control procedures including body substance isolation and bloodborne pathogen precautionsEnsures patient safety while handling, transporting, and providing medications to patientsProtect patients from various hazards, falls, diseases exposures, etc.Participates in quality assurance activities initiates and maintains accurate electronic and/or paper medical recordsMay draw blood and perform simple laboratory procedures and EKGsAssists with completing patient paperwork including FMLA, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, etc.Job Requirements:Graduate of accredited school of nursingADN, Diploma, BSN, or MSN degree acceptable.State of Wisconsin nursing licensure, compact license or temporary permit required. (If a compact license, application for a State of Wisconsin nursing license must be initiated in no more than 30 days from start date).Must be CPR certified within 3 months of hire.Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferred; cardiology or outpatient specialty experience strongly preferred.Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.Apply today to join our team!
