At Valley Presbyterian Hospital, we are committed to developing the next generation of nurses. We're seeking a Registered Nurse (Clinical I) to provide high-quality patient care while building clinical skills under the guidance of experienced nurses and leadership.
What You'll Do
Provide and coordinate patient care using the nursing process
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the care team
Administer medications safely in accordance with hospital policies
Educate patients and families on care plans, treatments, and discharge instructions
Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record
Communicate effectively with physicians and care team using SBAR
Monitor patient conditions and escalate changes as needed
Support infection control and patient safety standards
Participate in quality improvement and patient experience initiatives
Assist with patient throughput and discharge planning
What You Bring
New graduate RN or less than 1 year of clinical experience
Strong clinical judgment and willingness to learn
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
Current California RN license
ADN required; BSN preferred
AHA BLS certification
AHA ACLS certification
AHA PALS within 30 days of employment
Annual Stroke Education within 30 days of employment
LA City Fire Card within 30 days of employment
Management of Aggressive Behavior within 30 days of employment
NIHSS within 30 days of employment
