Registered Nurse Clinical Reviewer – Remote (New York)

Pay: $50/hour
Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, full-time, fully remote
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Clinical Reviewer to join our team supporting a respected non-profit healthcare organization in New York. In this fully remote role, you'll conduct utilization reviews and quality study data collection, ensuring compliance and accuracy across healthcare documentation.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Active New York State RN license.
- 1–3 years of experience in acute care utilization review / appeals.
- Comfortable working on a computer; familiar with Outlook, spreadsheets, and Word.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct utilization reviews up to and including the appeal level — chart screening, completing electronic worksheets, entering required information, and making level-one denial decisions when necessary.
- Conduct quality and clinical study data collection reviews, including chart review and detailed electronic data worksheets.
- Serve as a resource to administrative staff for training, problem-solving, and clarifying procedures; provide technical assistance and participate in staff huddles.
- Participate in collaborative training specific to clinical study objectives.
- Other duties as needed.
