Title:
Registered Nurse Clinical Supervisor (Ambulatory Care)

Location: Brooklyn, NY (Onsite)
Position Type: Temp-to-Perm - Mon-Fri 40hrs Per Week

Compensation:
Pay Range: $50.00-$54.00 Per HR

Position Overview:
• One of New York City's largest multispecialty physician practices is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Clinical Services Supervisor to join its Brooklyn team.
• This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ambulatory care RN who enjoys mentoring staff, driving operational excellence, and keeping a busy outpatient practice running smoothly.
• Working closely with the Nurse Manager, the RN Clinical Lead serves as a key operational partner, providing day-to-day clinical leadership, workflow coordination, staff training, and real-time problem solving.
• While this is a leadership role, there are no direct reports. Instead, you'll act as the Nurse Manager's right hand—supporting clinical staff, coordinating daily operations, managing escalations, and ensuring high-quality patient care.
• This is a highly visible, hands-on position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced ambulatory environment. The ideal candidate is flexible, collaborative, and willing to jump in wherever needed.
• There is no assigned patient caseload, but you should be comfortable stepping into clinical responsibilities during periods of high patient volume or staffing shortages.

Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with the Nurse Manager and Practice Leadership to oversee the daily operations of a busy multispecialty ambulatory practice.
• Serve as the primary clinical resource for nursing and support staff, providing coaching, guidance, and real-time problem resolution.
• Assist with onboarding, orientation, training, and ongoing development of clinical team members.
• Coordinate daily staffing assignments, workflow adjustments, and schedule changes to maintain efficient patient flow.
• Respond to patient concerns, operational issues, and clinical escalations, providing leadership and service recovery when appropriate.
• Step into clinical operations as needed to support patient care and ensure seamless practice operations.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, medical assistants, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient-centered care.
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, infection control standards, OSHA regulations, and organizational policies.
• Support quality initiatives, including HEDIS, HCC, PCMH, CMS, and other regulatory performance measures.
• Partner with Quality and Practice Leadership to identify workflow improvements and implement best practices.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and retention of clinical staff.
• Participate in performance coaching and staff development initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.

Qualifications Required:
• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of ambulatory/outpatient nursing experience
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory, charge nurse, or clinical leadership experience
• Strong understanding of ambulatory clinical operations and patient flow
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced outpatient environment

Qualifications Preferred:
• Experience in a multispecialty physician practice
• Knowledge of HEDIS, HCC, PCMH, and quality improvement initiatives
• Experience with Epic EMR
• Experience preparing for or supporting regulatory surveys and accreditation

Ideal Candidate:
• We're looking for a clinical leader who enjoys supporting teams and improving operations without managing direct reports.
• This individual leads by example, remains calm under pressure, communicates effectively, and is always willing to roll up their sleeves to support both staff and patients.
• Success in this role requires someone who is:
• A collaborative and approachable leader
• An excellent mentor and coach
• Highly organized and adaptable
• A strong critical thinker and problem solver
• Comfortable managing competing priorities
• Passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and team support
