Join Grafton Integrated Health Network as a Registered Nurse and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, and developmental disabilities at our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) in Cold Spring, Minnesota. In this rewarding role, youll provide compassionate, person-centered nursing care by monitoring and promoting client health, managing medical needs, collaborating with an interdisciplinary treatment team, and helping each individual achieve their highest level of well-being. As a Registered Nurse at Grafton Integrated Health Network, youll play a vital role in improving the health and well-being of the children and adolescents we serve. Youll provide compassionate, person-centered nursing care by monitoring clients overall health, managing medical needs, administering treatments, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to support each individuals treatment journey. Essential Job Functions

  • Assesses and evaluates clients; obtains and reviews pertinent medical data; collects vital signs and specimens; monitors client's response to treatment.
  • Follows through with treatment plans while assisting RNs or physicians in providing direct care to patients
  • Assists with psychological reviews; schedules client appointments with health care providers and dentists. Attends all neurology/specialty appointments, as appropriate
  • Documents the administration of care in the client medical record in a timely and thorough manner
  • Provides the medical perspective into client care for all Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings.
  • Administers medication as directed
  • Serves as a resource to department staff and students and to help deliver quality client care
  • Provides crisis intervention services as necessary.
  • Provides hepatitis B or flu vaccines and PPD testing to Grafton staff.
  • Promotes and assists in the control of communicable disease.
  • Prepares and/or completes various health services forms like medication permission forms, on-call sheets, medical/dentist appointment sheets, etc.
  • Works on-call duty in rotation, as appropriate; promptly responds to calls for immediate nursing services.
  • Attends meetings, seminars and training as required.
  • Performs other work as assigned.

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Serves as back up for nurses in other Grafton locations as needed.
  • Prepares and/or completes a variety of health services forms such as medication permission forms, on-call sheets, medical/dentist appointment sheets, etc.
  • Performs other work as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree preferred.
  • Valid drivers license
  • Valid RN License from the State Board of Nursing
  • 1 year or moderate experience as a practical nurse in a behavioral health setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience; previous medication administration
  • Thorough knowledge of practical nursing techniques
  • Computer proficiency, strong communication skills, ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients and other employees.

Schedule

  • Must be able to work any shift: Day, Evening and Overnight.
