Medical/Surgical Telemetry (MST) Registered Nurse (RN) – Weekend Nights

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Telemetry (MST) Registered Nurse (RN) for a weekend-only assignment at a busy Level I Trauma facility. This role requires flexibility to float to all like units and a commitment to working every scheduled weekend.

Postion: RN - Med/Surg Tele
Location: Camden, NJ
Duration: 13 weeks, 36 hrs/week 

Schedule

• Shift: Nights (7:00 PM Start)
• Schedule: Weekends Only (Friday–Sunday)
• Must work 6 weekend shifts during each 6-week scheduling period.
• No holiday time off permitted during the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult Medical/Surgical Telemetry patients.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments.
• Float to all like units as required.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record (EMR) documentation.
• Follow all hospital policies, patient safety standards, and evidence-based nursing practices.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN experience in a busy Level I Trauma facility.
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Assignment Requirements

• Required to float to all like units.
• No mileage or radius restrictions.
• Weekly hours are not guaranteed.
• The facility may cancel a scheduled shift up to 2 hours before the start time without penalty.
