Summary
The registered nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient centered care, under the direction of the department manager, supervisor, and charge nurse. Proficiency in administering the fundamentals of the nursing process, assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Qualifications
Required:
- Current and unencumbered licensure or Interim Permit as a Registered Nurse (RN) through the Nevada State Board of Nursing American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
- American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for healthcare providers within three (3) months of hire or position entry
- American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) within six (6) months of hire or position entry
- Must successfully complete National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within six (6) months of hire or position entry
- Acute Care experience required. Must have a minimum of 1 year acute care experience and/or a minimum of 6 months in critical care required.
- Must successfully complete Non-Violent Crisis intervention within six (6) months of hire or position entry.

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- CCRN, CEN, PCCN
