Critical Care Residency Program March 2026
Start Date will be in September 2026
Current openings are for Atlantic Health
Are you passionate about critical care medicine? Is your goal to be a critical care nurse?
The aim of this program is to support the novice RN transition into the role of a critical care nurse. Integrated with AACN's Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO) program, the residency will include a combination of online coursework, instructor-led classes, skills labs, and clinical tracks for a variety of critical care specialties. This program will help prepare the novice nurse to function independently in the critical care environment and eventually become nationally certified as a Critical Care Registered Nurse.
At the conclusion of the residency, participants will be awarded 75 continuing education credits and will have received 6 months of clinical bedside experience with rotations throughout relevant roles.
The Critical Care Nurse Residency Program is available throughout Atlantic Health System, and the job description of positions may vary from site to site.
