Akicita Federal is hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) to deliver direct patient care and clinical support services for the Dayton VA Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio. - Provide comprehensive nursing care to Veterans across assigned clinical areas, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient outcomes
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic procedures in accordance with physician orders and established clinical protocols
- Monitor and document patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment accurately in the electronic health record
- Coordinate with physicians, specialists, and other members of the care team to ensure continuity and quality of patient care
- Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health maintenance strategies
- Respond to urgent and emergent patient situations, initiating appropriate interventions and escalating care as needed
- Maintain compliance with VA policies, Joint Commission standards, and applicable federal regulations governing patient care and safety
$104,000 - $106,079 a year
- Current, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or higher)
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation and meet VA personnel suitability requirements prior to beginning work
- Ability to work on-site at the Dayton VA Medical Center, Dayton, Ohio

- Familiarity with VA electronic health record systems (e.g., VistA, CPRS, or Oracle Health)

- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-volume, interdisciplinary clinical environment
