Job Summary: As a Registered Nurse (Dialysis) at our healthcare team, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care of patients with end-stage renal disease. Your expertise in dialysis nursing will help improve the quality of life for our patients by ensuring safe and effective dialysis procedures. Key Responsibilities: Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional well-being to determine their suitability for dialysis treatment and monitor their condition throughout the procedure. Treatment Planning: Develop individualized care plans, in collaboration with the healthcare team, to address the unique needs and goals of each patient undergoing dialysis. Dialysis Procedures: Administer dialysis treatments, including hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis, according to prescribed protocols while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Medication Management: Administer medications, monitor their effects, and educate patients on medication management related to their renal condition. Vascular Access: Monitor and maintain vascular access sites, such as arteriovenous fistulas or grafts, to ensure optimal function and prevent complications. Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on renal disease, dialysis procedures, dietary restrictions, and lifestyle modifications to promote self-care and adherence to treatment plans. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including vital signs, treatment progress, and medication administration, in compliance with regulatory standards. Infection Control: Strictly adhere to infection control protocols to minimize the risk of infections associated with dialysis treatment. Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including nephrologists, dietitians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to optimize patient care. Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care to patients experiencing complications during dialysis treatment. Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.. American Heart BLS and ACLS certifications required. Minimum of 2yrs of Acute Care nursing experience required, with recent experience in dialysis nursing preferred. Proficiency in operating dialysis machines and related equipment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team. Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills.
