What You’ll Do

• Provide specialized dialysis care to inpatients on hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis, including accessing fistulas and catheters
• Monitor and assess patient condition, ensuring safety and comfort during treatments
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary team members on patient care plans
• Traverse between multiple facilities within the network, maintaining flexibility in assignments
• Utilize Meditech Expanse EMR for accurate charting and documentation
• Support unit operations, including covering charge nurse shifts as needed
• Follow safety protocols, including competency assessments and adherence to infection control practices

What You Need

• Required:
  • RN license in Louisiana or appropriate state
  • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
  • Minimum 1 year inpatient dialysis experience
  • Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
  • Critical thinking skills and independence in delivering care
• Preferred:
  • Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) or Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN)
  • Experience with Braun dialysis machines and water system functionality
  • Experience working across multiple facilities and floating
