JOB DESCRIPTION-

Registered Nurse Director- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

RN DIR- NICU

Full-Time

Registered Nurse Director candidates for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit will have the following job responsibilities:

• The patient care director will have operational responsibility and accountability for care delivery within their business unit and hospital. 
• Provide leadership for improving patient care, planning, staff performance, systems improvements, and other programs that support the culture of the facility, as well as HealthONE's strategic objectives.
• The director will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to enhance and drive an integrated model of person-centered care. 
• Provide leadership and coordination of clinical practice standards and ensure clinical care is provided according to quality, licensing, and accreditation standards. 
• Supports an environment of continuous improvement, promoting evidence-based practice and patient care delivery. 
• Measures actual budgetary performance and drives systematic improvement in collaboration with ACNO. 
• May also provide direct patient care when needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS-

Registered Nurse Director candidates for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit must meet the minimum job qualifications:

• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse or current active multistate Registered Nurse license. Current BLS certification.
• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN required. MSN, or other healthcare-related advanced degree, e.g., MBA, or MHA is preferred.
• Experience: At least five years of acute care/specialty nursing is desirable in the area of specialty. At least three years of previous experience in a charge/supervisory or management position.
