The Cardiovascular/Electrophysiology Specialist provides professional care in the Invasive Cardiac, Electrophysiology, and Vascular Laboratories in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate evidence-based practice and perform care for the comfort and wellbeing of the patient.
- Perform and/or assist with treatments, therapies, and procedures (including scrub assistant, monitoring, and circulating) under the direction of the physician.
- Administer medication under the direct supervision of the physician, as appropriate.
- Document a current clinical picture and record designated information in the patient record.
- Convey relevant information to physicians and teammates.
- Calculate, interpret, and analyze data.
- Assist in the development of policies, procedures, and standards of care reflective of current practice and literature.
- Participation in committee and governance activities is highly recommended.
Schedule
Available shift options include:
- 10-hour shifts, a combination of 4 weekdays (Monday to Friday), assumed to be 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
- 12-hour shifts, a combination of 2 weekdays and 1 weekend day, assumed to be 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM.
The primary need is for weekdays, 6:30 AM 5:00 PM, four 10-hour shifts. No weekend call is required.
Qualifications
Previous procedural experience or electrophysiology (EP) experience is essential. On-the-job training is a significant challenge and requires experienced candidates.
