Position: Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Duration: 10/11/2026 – 01/09/2027 (13 Weeks)

Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Schedule: 3 x 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours/Week

Schedule Notes: Every other weekend required. Holiday requirement: 2 winter holidays and either Thanksgiving Eve or Black Friday. No on-call required. May float to the 12-bed Satellite ED within the facility. Epic ASAP ED RN experience is required.

Pay Rate: $60-$65/hr.

Requirements

Experience:

• Minimum 18 months of nursing experience in an Emergency Department environment.

• Must have Emergency Department experience within the past six months.

• Demonstrated level of performance and clinical practice required.

• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.

• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.

• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Required Skills: Emergency Department (ED), Epic ASAP ED RN, NIHSS, 8 Stroke CEUs, 4 Trauma CEUs, Clinical Assessment, Nursing Care Planning, Patient and Family Communication.

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Licenses & Certifications

• New Jersey State Registered Nurse License or Multi-State Compact RN License.

• AHA BLS Certification.

• AHA ACLS Certification.

• AHA PALS Certification.

• NIHSS Certification.

• Telemetry Certification.

• 4-Hour Stroke CEU.

Languages

• English (Read, Write, Speak)

Job Summary

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse provides specialized emergency nursing care for patients of all ages, quickly and accurately assesses patients with physical and mental health conditions, prioritizes injuries and medical needs, and responds effectively in a variety of trauma and emergency situations.
