Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (ED)

Duration: 13 Weeks
Location: 450 Northside Cherokee Boulevard, Canton, GA 30115

Schedule: Nights | Varies | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours/Week

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) RN experience required.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Current AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
  • Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required.
  • Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
  • Experience caring for adult and pediatric emergency patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
  • Strong critical thinking, triage, trauma, and emergency stabilization skills.
  • No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with medical, surgical, traumatic, and psychiatric emergencies.
  • Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, and prioritization based on acuity using established emergency department protocols.
  • Administer medications, intravenous therapies, blood products, and emergency treatments in accordance with physician orders.
  • Initiate and monitor cardiac monitoring, telemetry, oxygen therapy, and other life-saving interventions.
  • Assist physicians during trauma resuscitations, emergency procedures, and critical care interventions.
  • Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition, including stroke, sepsis, cardiac, respiratory, and other life-threatening emergencies.
