Job Title: Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ED RN)
Location: Watertown, NY
Contract Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift:
- Night Shift – 3x12 Hour Shifts
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a contract assignment in Watertown, NY. The ideal candidate will have strong emergency and critical care experience and the ability to respond quickly and effectively in high-acuity clinical situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct emergency nursing care to patients with acute and critical conditions
- Assess, monitor, and stabilize patients in emergency situations
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency treatments as ordered
- Recognize and intervene promptly in life-threatening situations
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams on patient care plans
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain compliance with patient safety, infection control, and emergency care protocols
- May assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as needed
Requirements:
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
- BLS Certification (Required)
- ACLS Certification (Required)
- PALS Certification (Required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
- Experience with MEDITECH required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Critical Care and Charge Nurse experience preferred
- Must complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation period
- Defibrillation certification required within 6 months of employment
- IV therapy, medication administration, and phlebotomy competency required during orientation
