A 198-bed Level III trauma center in Farmington is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department team on mid shift. Serving the Four Corners region, this hospital includes a 48-bed emergency department with additional flex space designed to handle a broad range of trauma and acute care cases.

Emergency Department RNs here work within a structured pod-based team model, supported by a unit educator and social worker to enhance both clinical performance and patient support. Nurses care for a high-acuity and diverse patient population, including individuals with ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, and behavioral health conditions.

The role requires strong competency in emergency and critical protocols such as trauma response, stroke care, STEMI management, sepsis treatment, and moderate sedation. Patient assignments are typically 4:1 in the main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track areas. The unit is equipped with advanced clinical technology, including Zoll defibrillators, Level One blood transfusers, QinFlow blood warmers, Hospira Plum360 infusion pumps, Freestyle and iSTAT point-of-care testing systems, ultrasound-guided IV insertion capability, and electronic charting through Cerner.

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required

  • Minimum of 2 years of acute care Emergency Department experience required

  • Demonstrated experience with trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation required

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of submission

  • Additional certifications may be obtained post-hire per facility requirements

  • Active RN license required prior to start; candidates without New Mexico or compact licensure are eligible but must obtain licensure before employment begins

Schedule:

  • Full-time

  • Mid shift

  • 12-hour shifts (rotation between 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.)
