JOB DESCRIPTION The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN collaborates with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while adhering to organizational policies, procedures, and professional nursing standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES As an Emergency Department RN, you will:
- Assess, identify, and prioritize patient and family care needs.
- Develop and communicate individualized plans of care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Safely administer medications, treatments, and interventions.
- Continuously monitor patient conditions and promptly communicate changes to appropriate team members.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
- Ensure compliance with patient safety standards, identification protocols, and risk reduction practices.
- Support evidence-based clinical decision-making in a dynamic emergency care environment.
- Foster positive working relationships and contribute to departmental and organizational goals.
- Maintain required licensure, certifications, competencies, and continuing education requirements.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and clinical growth opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONSEducationRequired:- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or
- Nursing Diploma/Certificate Program
Preferred:- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
LicensureRequired:- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida or eligible Compact State licensure
CertificationsRequired Upon Hire:- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification
Required Within 90 Days of Hire:- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
Required Within Two Years of Hire:- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
