Hourly Pay: $47/hr. - $56/hr.


Job Description:
Birch Agency is seeking skilled and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our emergency department team in West Chester, PA. The Emergency Room Registered Nurse provides timely, efficient, and patient-centered care to individuals experiencing a wide range of illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies.

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, prioritizing, and treating patients in a fast-paced hospital environment. This role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and effective collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform rapid assessments and triage patients based on acuity and clinical needs.
  
• 
  Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, neurological status, and changes in patient condition.
  
• 
  Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and other prescribed treatments.
  
• 
  Initiate and assist with emergency interventions, procedures, and resuscitation efforts.
  
• 
  Operate and monitor emergency and other advanced medical equipment.
  
• 
  Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals.
  
• 
  Provide care for patients with medical, surgical, traumatic, cardiac, neurological, and other emergent conditions.
  
• 
  Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions.
  
• 
  Maintain accurate, timely, and complete patient documentation.
  
• 
  Support patient transfers, admissions, discharges, and coordination of follow-up care.
  
• 
  Follow hospital policies, emergency department protocols, infection-control standards, and safety procedures.
  
• 
  Provide compassionate care while maintaining patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.

Qualifications:

• 
  Current Registered Nurse license in the applicable state.
  
• 
  Associate Degree in Nursing required;Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
  
• 
  Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  
• 
  Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
  
• 
  Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred or required based on facility needs.
  
• 
  All required background clearances must be completed and maintained.
  

Work Environment:
This position is based in a fast-paced hospital emergency department serving patients with a broad range of conditions and acuity levels. The Registered Nurse must be able to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the facility.
