JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking an Endoscopy RN to join our healthcare team. Your primary function is to assist credentialed physicians in the performance of endoscopic procedures to diagnose, care, and treat patients. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner.
In this role you will:
- Demonstrate knowledge and application of the nursing process in the peri-operative setting.
- Prepare and equip endoscopy suites for indicated procedure.
- Follow established protocol for scheduling patients in the OR module for each procedure.
- Educate patients regarding procedure, provides comfort and support for patient, and prepares patient for indicated procedure.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to follow moderate sedation policy and procedure.
- Knowledge of medications used during procedures and ability to monitor patient status.
- Identify potential and actual complications related to endoscopic procedures.
- Evaluate and document patient response: monitors and recognizes changes in physiological and psychological status.
- Support, maintain and provide an environment which is supportive of quality patient care through effective use of resources and personnel.
Job Requirements:
- Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing Required, Bachelor Degree in Nursing preferred
- Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
- BLS-AHA Provider issued card required within 30 days of start ACLS-American Heart Association ACLS Provider issued card required Acute care experience required.
- Previous endoscopy experience preferred.
- CGRN preferred
