Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse – ER provides direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency room setting, ensuring patient safety and care quality. This position requires clinical expertise, strong decision-making, and the ability to respond quickly to emergencies while maintaining professional standards and compassion.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver patient care consistent with established emergency nursing protocols
Perform assessments, interventions, and documentation per hospital and clinical standards
Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and prioritize patient safety
Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and healthcare teams
Administer medications and monitor for reactions or complications
Respond rapidly to life-threatening situations and initiate appropriate interventions
Comply with organizational policies, safety regulations, and emergency procedures
Maintain records and documentation in accordance with state and federal guidelines
Required Experience:
Nice-to-Have Experience:
Experience in high-volume or trauma-certified emergency departments
Prior work in fast-paced, multidisciplinary hospital environments
Required Skills:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Certification
Preferred Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing
Clinical specialty certification (e.g., CEN, CCRN)
Strong critical thinking and multitasking skills
Additional Skills:
Adherence to policies and procedures
Ability to perform essential job duties with or without accommodations
Clear, compassionate communication with patients and families
